for the main weapon you could use a fn 2000 in black, that gun look badass!!! and it fit well with a umbrella soldier: compact, but still pack a punch, for the handgun i think a colt 1911 or a mark23 would be great, im not a fan of the desert eagle

nope!
glass would break too easily, and these were game objectives / props so we opted for rubber tubing from home depot or something. the outter shell was a larger, thicker tube, and the insides were coiled thin tubing coiled a bit. We mixed food coloring in water and put that stuff in the thin tube, and capped the tube off with a white LED light. using some green putty (warhammer ppl know what this tuff is), we secured the tubes half assed in the caps for the outter tube, and put some batteries in each cap to power the LEDs. There ya go, each tube cost about 10 or 15$ to make. the batteries being the bulk of the cost. |

Very well done. Although aside from the possibility of hurting people, glass tubing makes the objective that much more stressful. Having to worry about breaking it and all.

Hey Haggis, what happened to your loadout? I was disappointed I didn't get to see any pics, especially after going through a ten page thread.

Sorry for not being around much on the thread lately - back to work, still dealing with WCB (Work Safe), pain tolernace, scheduling, follow up doctor & specialist visits, etc.
Rest assured, when everything comes together - there will be pictures akimbo - this thread is not dead. |

Oh, me too, me too!!
Instead of creating another full thread about this, I'll just add on here.
Haggis, I like your ideas, Cache, your outfit is coming along well too. Here's my idea. I've been a 'zombie geek' for quite some time. I've been playing primarily WWII airsoft, but just recently started to put together a modern kit. ================= So far I have: (just read on, disregard the screaming in the back of your head which is no doubt something along the lines of " THERES NO MULTICAM IN RESIDENT EVIL!!!!") Multicam BDU Multicam Ciras - nametape patch - UMBRELLA patches: X2 (will post pics when I have them.) - 5 Mag pouches - 1 dump pouch - 1 misc pouch - 2 pistol mag pouches - Currently being used to hold two glowsticks, one yellow, one red, in an effort to have some semblance of realism, as per a zombie outbreak. When one needs low level light, and not a flashlight screaming; "BRAINS HERE!" - 1 map/admin pouch - Will be used to hold UMBRELLA Documents. yeah yeah i know, a little over the top... but playing with the WWII guys makes you want every little detail down to spec. I'd like to replicate an ID, maybe some notes from game re: Viruses and such. Hard Knuckle Gloves (still need to be finished,) Knee + Elbow pads - Coloured to match BDU. Gun on the way: http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...p/DSCF2324.jpg Will have boots, hydration/recon pack, balaclava (or gasmask not sure yet) after christmas. I'd like to pick up some faux grenades, or perhaps make some, as have been used in the VN overnight games and such, for those of you who have been. I also need some sort of handheld flashlight, as opposed to the one affixed to my soon-to-be weaponry. The zombie survival guide, Max brooks, will definately have to be in a pack somewhere too. =) ================ What I'm going for here, is a new-type, (ovbiously) fictional UBCS. Something akin to an anti-zombie paramilitary force, sponsored by UMBRELLA, or a 'modernized', more real-world practical version of what the game had. Any suggestions for zombie killin' gear or... anything really? Is it possible to find multicam armor, akin to swat gear? I think that would be practical. I also need to pick up a blade of some sort, and a side arm eventually, way down the road. I would also hope to host a zombie-themed game out here in Atlantic Canada. I'm no stranger to hosting games, but have yet to try a zombie game. I hate to necro the thread, but it's a new kit I'm starting, and didn't feel like it justified a new thread..

Nice work.
Nice work youonlywish. your choice for a primary wepon is on par with the game. In the game the soldiers use either MP5 or M4 variants. I think the tac light on your M4 is a good idea. This helps your unit look like an elite tactical force. What will be the name of your new umbrella company? The uniform I replicated was the UBCS (Umbrella Biohazardous Countermeasure Service) These were the primary soldiers in RE3 RE Outbreak(1&2) ect. As far as a sidearm is concerned, I recomend USP Compact. They have good power, can attach tactical accessories, and compact for easy carry and storage. You could go with SigPro2000, witch is standard issue for the UBCS, however your unit is elite so I'd sugest a different side arm. As far as a Knife. I recomend the Kabar fighting knife. (It is similar in looks to the rambo knife) Hope this helps. If i can think of more later I'll post. Good luck with your project.

kit
Starting to assemble the extra's.
Will have many of said 'extra's' printed and laminated tomorrow. The unit I've decided to create, as based on the ideals of the fictitious Umbrella Corp, will be detailed later.

Great! My only sugestion is to have either a lab cot on or dressed up in full gear (minus the helmet) in the id card. You also might want to do your logos using Adobe Ilustrator. You can't go wrong with clean vectors. Great work man. Keep it up.
Het. i did these a while back for a RE fan site. What do you think? |

RATM: Nice templates... but I figured i'd make my own, as per a unit that I'm creating as well. Cache, Nice, clean look to both. Yeah, this was done quickly on my night shift... had no pics in full gear. But i will, thanks, that makes more sense.

Any ideas for 'official documents' that could be carried on my person while on duty?
