How do i phrase this...ummm.
Are there any parts you are expecting to break due to normal wear? (kinda like the ksc glock loading ramp / floating valve) |

Great pics Mr Jon!
I've been meaning to get a KSC SP2009 with SD metal set for some time now but have neglected to do so only because there aren't too many favorable reviews available (if only WA would make an SCW version ). How is its performance on green gas/propane? Reliable? I heard the design of the piston lip is such that it can fold back due to the extra force involved with propane over duster. However, I would think the included piston o-ring in the SD set would remedy this issue. Also, how would you rate its power on propane versus TM, KSC, and WA GBB's? And does anybody know if the SD hybrid set barrel is made from two parts soldered on together (upper port part soldered on top of barrel) or one-piece like WA's hybrid barrels? Apparently SD's TM hi-capa 5.1 hybrid set barrel is made from two soldered parts and has a tendency of breaking apart. Lastly, I heard the recoil spring is very weak and WA 1911 recoil springs will fit and perform better. Could you confirm? Last edited by davedawg123; June 25th, 2007 at 04:57.. |

Now while im not really expecting something to break on my SP2009, Id just like to have a complete parts gun handy because parts are usually hard to come by. But im worried about the piston folding back as well and getting mashed... hopefully that isnt too much of an issue. Recoil is very snappy with the 2009, they fixed pretty much everything that was wrong with the 2340. Check out my review in the review section for the low down.

i bought one from A&A and returned it right away. its a nice looking gun, but the slide rattles and so does the mag, it feels like its going to fall apart in your hand. Also the trigger misfired once or twice.

Odd, the slide rattles a bit when the mag is out of the gun, but fall apart in your hand? Far from that, i'm still firing mine nicely on propane and its as solid as the day I bought it.... did I just get the luck of the draw?

Here are a few quick photos, another photoshoot will proably ensue shortly.
Now upgraded with a HurricanE High Flow Kit which includes a new valve striker, highspeed recoil spring, and hiflow mag valve. Installed, and still currently in the process of fitting is a Shooters Design XM13 slide. A TN tightbore also needs to be installed, however I can't figure out how to take the barrel assembly apart yet. Next up will be a HurricanE hard kick upgrade unit for added power and kick.
