Co2 and Preventing Leaks

I hear that stored without any gas that GHK's gas magazines tend to become prone to leaks over time.

However, I've also heard that I should never leave Co2 charged in a magazine due to Co2's tendency to put too much strain on the internals of magazines given its higher pressure.

How do I consolidate these two factors? Do I do a short Co2 charge? How much/for how long? I plan on Devilhunter modding GHK green gas magazines, maybe I could store them charged with propane?

If anyone has any relevant knowledge/experience, please advise.

If you fill the mags, just use a little bit. Basically just a tap against the fill valve, less than a second. However, since CO2 is not, and doesn't need lubrication like Green Gas, it doesn't make much of a difference. I simply leave mine empty and occasionally remove the valves to lube the o-rings.

Also, GHK's gas valves aren't as leak-proof as their CO2 ones. The gasket on the CO2 valve is made of (something?) that seals much nicer than the GG valves. I assume that the rubber on the GG valve probably gets ruined over time from so much temperature change constantly.
