Surefire weapon light output
Hey there
I have a surefire weapon light with a surefire KX1A head and im looking to increase its output. I bought the light used so im not sure of its current output. I'd like to have the light output at around 300-400 lumens with high candlepower as well so that it works both inside and outside. Any insight is appreciated Thanks |

Last I heard it was old gen scout head at 110 lumen. Only way to increase output is to replace head with a newer Ultra version, or replace the whole light. There are no easy mods or battery swaps to get the lumen you want. Pony up the cash is the only method.

Where would I be able to find a newer gen head that has a higher output?

911 supply on Manhattan Road might be able to order a new head in, if not online somewhere, can't point you in any particular direction, I haven't had to look for Surefire parts in many years.
The cheapest option for you would probably to buy a P2X Fury tactical. Its a 600 lumen handheld, easily weapon mounted with any 1in mount. Last I looked averaging around $160.
