Help with a loadout!
Okay, I'm seriously confused. My problem is I'm starting my second loadout and I'm having problems choosing what I want to do. To clear this up first of all, I'm looking to make a Marine inspired kit. I don't want "Ohhh who cares". I want your honest opinion on this. I will put my own judgement after everyone else's, so it will be something you guys said was better, and I will put my own work into it so it still something that "Fits me best".
The only two loadouts I'm interested in running are Marine grunt kits or MARSOC kits. These are the pictures that sway me in so many directions. LARGE PICS TO GET THE POINT THROUGH! I'll start first with MARSOC: And grunt kits: PROS AND CONS -Grunt Pros: -Unique nowadays -Can be put together quite easily -Don't need a sidearm -M16's are unique nowadays -I already have an LWH -BAMF Cons: -Can still turn out quite expensive -Huge assortment of plate carriers that I could use -Can't transition to a different camo pattern because USMC infantry gear is strictly USMC infantry gear. -MARSOC Pros: -Will give me my first taste of GBB's -'High Speed' -Does look a bit BA -Can be used with different camo patterns without looking totally Marine. Cons: -Expensive. Really expensive. -Never had any experience with GBB's. -M4's are getting old. ^^THIS IS MY MAIN PROBLEM!!!^^ I don't know if you understand my problem, but from my point of view this is confusing the crap out of me. HELP! Oh, and thanks Vince and Yannos for such influencing pics.

I'd say go with a grunt load-out. EVERYONE and their grandma has some kind of MARSOC loadout.

I've posted this on 3 other forums and out of everyone that responded so far, you and another guy has said grunt.
I'm worried though, these are my pro's and cons: -Grunt Pros: -Unique nowadays -Can be put together quite easily -Don't need a sidearm -M16's are unique nowadays -I already have an LWH -BAMF Cons: -Can still turn out quite expensive -Huge assortment of plate carriers that I could use -Can't transition to a different camo pattern because USMC infantry gear is strictly USMC infantry gear. -MARSOC Pros: -Will give me my first taste of GBB's -'High Speed' -Does look a bit BA -Can be used with different camo patterns without looking totally Marine. mine isn't MARSOC, but '06-ish MFR. The FROG is totally out of place but sooooooooooooooooooooo comfy! MARSOC is part of SOCOM and is issued with SFLCS kit and not FSBE like FR/DRP/MEU-SOC/MRF

On that last set of pics you posted, I hope you don't think those guys are MARSOC.. they're airsofters.
And sorry, you won't be a BAMF just because you get a grunt look. Honestly man, your making this into such a huge debate and drama, really you can't make a decision on your own? Need to be told what to do? Do what you want, not what people tell you to do. |

I'll put it simple:
If I wanted MFR I want FSBE. All I got to say. And I never got your opinions!

I know, I wish I was. But at the same time, it's a good thing I'm not.
Or i'd be well geared, but living on peanut butter and soda cookies.

These guys are airsofters?
And the only reason I go back and forth, and make it all 'dramatic' is because I've been stuck trying to make a decision for about a year, and so far I've only narrowed it down to a Marine kit for something effective for my field and something that looks good. Now I'm stuck between these 2. The only real progress I've made was buying an LWH, a tan shemagh, and 2 EI frag pouches. And now I'm stuck wondering if I should trade my LWH for an MSA MICH. Quote:

Can we get this thread closed? I believe I can't change the fact that I'm stuck with an LWH for now.

I dunno, I'm honestly really confused. I guess I'm just going to have to go with what I want.
I don't know if what you said was meant to help me, but I see it that way. So grunt it is...
