What voltage??
8.4, 9.6, 10.8, 12 volts
I run a 9.6x1400 in my M-4 G&p, mild spring, long tight bore barrel through a silencer. my 9.6 runs ok! but what will a 10.8 or12 volt do, BB speed and rate of fire? will it be harder on the motor/gears/mech box etc. reason is, I will be building a spare batt, price is not an issue, fitment can be adjusted, so would hooking one or two more batteries be a bad thing?? |

BB speed will be the same, initial trigger response will improve, and ROF will improve too. Your gearbox will soon need replacement gears, piston, bearings, even gearbox.
Simple Math: faster ROF, more wear and tear |

Another is the faster the rate of fire, the faster the aging process. And do NOT dry fire it, at least as little as possible. A teammate loves to dry fire his 9.6V AEGs and I've replaced the mechboxes a few times, as well as other parts (including the G&P SPR's tappet plate, TM SR-16 gears etc.)
