The problem with this method is that unless you have a plug popper, your gearbox (or at the very least, the trigger assembly/switch) will be forever tethered to your lower receiver without doing a full completely disassembly of the entire switch assembly. At best, it's a major annoyance.

If you don't plan on ever or very very very rarely taking your gun apart, then it shouldn't be that much of an issue.
