To Andruril: Yup, I just drenched it in lube and tapped it on and off little by little until i could get it all the way on, then i just racked it over and over and over again, making sure that the slide went all the way back and all the way forward. I didnt put the guts in the slide until I had it decently broken in. It took a bit of sweat and could probably have been made easier by a bit of sanding but I was happy with the results. Just make sure to clean it all up after, your gun will be full of a sludgy grey mixture of lube and shavings.
