The guns, name the movies. Play along part II...

Okay, since so many had problems with the last game of name the guns in the movies, thought I'd make it simpliar but different. Instead of naming guns let's name the movies.

I'll name a gun (some obscure) you name the movies you've seen the gun in. Modified or custom changes to the look count as gun usage. Bonus for Sci-Fi movies that "futurize" the gun.

No one changes guns on me (I'll name another when things slow down).

First Gun: What movies (not TV shows) has the following been seen in?

1. FN P90

* P.S. Individuals can name more then 1 movie, making it tough for everyone else.

Captain Tenneal February 2nd, 2006 01:23

Doom, (Or at least the movie poster had one)
Gunslinger Girls (Do we count miniseries? :D)
Xmen 2
Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever
Hostage
Equilibrium
Spawn

Hedonism Bot February 2nd, 2006 02:10

one of the more recent (and crappier) James Bond movies featured the P90. The one in between Tomorrow Never Dies & Die Another Day. The World is Not Enough that;s it

Treadstone71 February 2nd, 2006 09:04

3000 Miles to Graceland.

There. I said it. V82slo, I mentioned your stupid movie. :-)

How about a gun change now? Psst...go for something uncommon.

Hey I've got an idea...how about we find pictures of guns from movie scenes, and post the picture. Before posting, remove any visual references (backgrounds, character faces, that would indicate what movie it is).

Then we post and try to guess what movie it is. I'll start it...

EDIT: Aw poop...can't seem to upload to the thread...I'll upload the pic when I get home from work tonight...anyone else is free to jump in.

Is it from Underworld Evolution?

LUTNIT February 3rd, 2006 02:39

HK USP Match loaded with silver nitrate rounds from the first Underworld movie, not evolution (does the fact that I just happened to rewatch that movie like an hour ago count at cheating?)

Hmm, also, welcome!

Ok...one more before I leave for the weekend, then it's v82slo's game.

I'm stumped on the last one from Treadstone71. Anyone?

Jar|-|ead February 3rd, 2006 12:23

pethats from The Bourne Supremecy...iunno how u spell it..so imma guess the same rounds they use in m4's??

Glock 18 February 3rd, 2006 13:12

Looks like a crazy Geneth G2000 with a big scope mount base.

Gish February 3rd, 2006 15:19

Thats from the Bourne Supremacy, The scene where he's watching the CIA office from across the way.
I'm pretty sure that's a Hollywood gun, totally made up.

v82slo February 3rd, 2006 15:35

Alright, Bourne Supremacy and I missed the gun even after seeing the movie.

I'll warm you guys up with an easy one (real unique so it should be an easy ID);

Which movie is the gun from, model of base?

http://www.longmountain.com/movieguns/XXX/DSCN9919.jpg

* Again please no reverse lookups, if you can't figure out the gun by picture alone let someone else try.

Man Solo February 3rd, 2006 16:24

I wanna say Hellboy but I could be wrong his revolver looked a lot bigger than that, I'm only guessing from the special ammo he used.

Oh we missed one for P90
The Island
those crazy dart guns are actually p90's

I got the Island on DVD, which I've paid for, and is the real version. I'll have to check it out again. But above pistol is not from Hellboy.

Easy, it's from triple x. Not because of the URL you linked from.. but because I tried to build it once after I saw the movie.

I think it's an S&W preformance center, I cant remember the model.

Bingo! I remember the gun because when I saw it I thought it was f'd up looking. Plus would have thought the multi-colour darts give it away.

One more gun to guess and then hopefully someone else will post another;

Guess this gun and which movie it's from, hint it's an oldie from my youth but based on a popular pistol;

v82slo February 5th, 2006 00:51

It's from Time Cop I believe. It was on TV couple weeks ago.

I'll post one if you dont mind. Name the movie these guns are from. They're all from the same flick. I changed filenames to prevent cheating.

This slowed down pretty quickly. Last gun was from Space above and beyond.

Next one (I'll probably do this once every 1-2 days to keep you from getting bored): What movie was this gun from?

Hint: Movie was from the 80's and will be tough for most of you.

v82slo February 11th, 2006 19:41

Hint #1: The movie with gun above had a famous kiss in it!

CannonFodder February 11th, 2006 20:58

looks sorta "total recall"ish, but I haven't seen that movie in ages , and I have no clue what year it came out....pretty much just a guess

v82slo February 12th, 2006 14:17

Hint #2: The ammo fired from this gun was one of the slowest I've seen but still very effective.

If no one gets it by tomorrow I'll give it away and then post another.

Treadstone71 February 12th, 2006 14:36

Well done v82slo...I'm completely stumped.

Cortexburn February 12th, 2006 17:09

Ding, ding, ding!!! You is a winner. The gun is from the movie Runaway with Tom Selleck.

The famous KISS was Gene Simmons as the villain. For those that haven't seen the movie, check it out pretty good sci-fi movie. The gun was spectacular as it would fire a miniature "heat seeking" bullet that would track it's target.

Anyone want a shot at posting next gun picture? I'll wait until tomorrow if no one else posts.

It's a TV Show, and its somewhat recent. I'll give the answer tomorrow midday, might be a tad difficult as I don't think its a very popular show.

It's from season 2 episode 5 of "The 4400" Some kinda scifi show where 4400 abductees were returned all at once.

Now im wondering what those pistols are they sorta looked like glock or p226. I cant watch it again because it was on TV. Anyone know what those 2 pistols were? Thanks alot for your help.

I do believe they are Glock 19s, though they may be the .40 S&W Glock 23. Either way, it wasn't the full sized versions of the above mentioned guns.

Christian Bale uses a heavily modified version of this Auto9 in Equilibrium. Also I just noticed two days agothat Bruce Willis AKA Hartigan in Sin City uses one when he's going back to the farm to save *older* Nancy Calahan. He stabs a guard with a knife then uses the gun for a brief 1.2 second one-shot kill (wtf) on another guard, then drops it on the ground. I would have used it full auto on t3h CR33P! Shame...

PS - In Equilibrium bale uses modified M9(93r?)s, the Auto 9 isn't a real pistol IIRC, and is also built off a M93R.
